Bears Resting 28 Players Against Colts

(670 The Score) -- The Bears plan to rest 28 players against the Colts on Saturday evening in their third preseason game.

The decision was expected, as coach Matt Nagy has indicated his key players won't play again until the regular-season opener against the Packers on Sept. 5. 

Here's the list of players the Bears will rest against the Colts:

Offense: receiver Taylor Gabriel, tight end Trey Burton, tackle Bobby Massie, guard Kyle Long, center James Daniels, guard Cody Whitehair, tackle Charles Leno Jr., quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, running back Tarik Cohen, receiver Allen Robinsin, receiver Anthony Miller, receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, tight end Adam Shaheen, tight end Ben Braunecker, running back Mike Davis and running back David Montgomery.

Defense: defensive lineman Akiem Hicks, defensive lineman Eddie Goldman, defensive lineman Bilal Nichols, outside linebacker Khalil Mack, insider linebacker Danny Trevathan, inside linebacker Roquan Smith, outside linebacker Leonard Floyd, cornerback Kyle Fuller, safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, safety Eddie Jackson, cornerback Prince Amukamara and nickel back Buster Skrine.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT at Lucas Oil Stadium and can be heard on WBBM Newsradio 780.
