November 14, 2018 - 3:53 pm

(670 The Score) The Bears are becoming a familiar sight on national television.

For the second time this season, the Bears have had an afternoon game flexed to the primetime setting of Sunday Night Football on NBC. The Bears-Rams matchup at Soldier Field on Dec. 9 has now been moved to a 7:20 p.m. kickoff, the league announced Wednesday. The Bears lead the NFC North with a 6-3 mark, while the Rams lead their division and also the NFC at 9-1.

It will mark the third time that the Bears appear on Sunday Night Football this season. They did so in their opener against the Packers and host the Vikings in an NFC North showdown this Sunday evening, the latter a matchup that was also recently flexed.

This marks the fourth time in Bears franchise history that the team has appeared on Sunday Night Football on three different occasions (2006, 2008, 2009).

The Bears also beat the Seahawks on Monday Night Football on Sept. 17 and will play the Lions on Thanksgiving Day in their other national television games.

The Bears-Rams game on Dec. 9 had previously been scheduled for noon. The Steelers (6-2-1) and Raiders (1-8) had been scheduled to play in primetime that day before the change.
