Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky Inactive Vs. Giants

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (670 The Score) -- Chase Daniel will start at quarterback for a second straight game as the Bears officially ruled out Mitchell Trubisky against the Giants.

Trubisky suffered the injury to his right throwing shoulder on November 18, snapping a streak of 22 consecutive starts last Thursday in Detroit. He began throwing again on Friday at Halas Hall and was seen throwing on the field at MetLife Stadium.

The 32-year-old Daniel, a 10-year NFL veteran, will make his fourth career start. He led the Bears to a victory last week, finishing 27-of-37 for 230 yards and two touchdowns in the team's 23-16 win over the Lions.

The Bears also ruled defensive lineman Akiem Hicks active. He did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday but returned to work for the team's walk-through on Friday.

Benny Cunningham (ankle), Sherrick McManis (hamstring), Kevin White, Rashaad Coward, Javon Wims and Nick Williams are also inactive. Tight end Adam Shaheen and linebacker Aaron Lynch are both active after missing the last game with concussions.

Kickoff between the Bears (8-3) and Giants (3-8) comes at noon CT from MetLife Stadium.
