Bears' Allen Robinson On Availability For Next Week: 'We'll See'

October 22, 2018 - 2:30 pm

(670 The Score) A day after being unable to finish the game, Bears receiver Allen Robinson on Monday characterized himself as feeling "pretty good" but remains unsure of whether he'll be healthy enough to play against the Jets next Sunday as he continues to deal with a groin injury.

Robinson was held to just one catch for four yards on five targets in Chicago's 38-31 loss to New England on Sunday, and he was held out of the final three series of the game as his groin injury hampered him.

"We're figuring that out," Robinson said when asked if he expects to play next week. "We'll see. Of course, it's always in my mind to be able to try to go, but we'll see."

Khalil Mack's return to form could take time

Ahead of the game Sunday, Robinson never felt like his groin injury would prevent him from playing, but it got worse as the contest wore on.

"It started bothering me a little bit, but like I said before at the same, I'm just taking it day by day and am going to see where I end up this week," Robinson said.

"Just treatment like we normally do, just like some ice and stuff like, just doing normal treatment like how I would do any .. time the day after the game."

Robinson has 25 catches for 285 yards and two touchdowns in six games. He was asked how he might find a way to get fully healthy with the Bears' bye in their rearview mirror, and he remained optimistic.

"That has to be the primary focus, is getting back to 100 percent," Robinson said. "And again, for me, that's my primary focus.

"I don't think that's far-fetched at all."
