And to make it more fun and festive, a number of bars that don't have enclosed rooftops have installed heated igloos to allow guests to stay warm and take in the views.

There is no need to hibernate and be anti-social this winter. So gather your friends, pick your favorite rooftop, and get cozy in an igloo, without having to worry about being cold.

Here's a list of places your can party in a rooftop igloo in Chicago.

Joy District

112 W. Hubbard St., Chicago

Joy District has brought back their Winter Wonderland rooftop, complete with heated igloos, perfect for date night, girls' night out, corporate and birthday parties, happy hour, or just for fun. The River North bar has three igloos, which each fit between 15 to 20 people. Guests can purchase large format, seasonal cocktails that come in a variety of containers from a disco ball to a gumball machine. Another fun option guests can order in the igloos is the Rumchata Ferris Wheel, complete with eight shots of Rumchata with graham cracker crumb rim, so you can toast the night away! More info.

"So we all know we get a little antsy in the wintertime and we want to go out still, so igloos really came from an idea of utlitizing the rooftop space, the outdoor space here at Joy District, and these incredible views of River North longer in the season," Jessica Kwan, Director of Events and Partnerships, 8 Hospitality Company. "So we really wanted to create a winter wonderland aspect up here at Joy and that's really what is stemmed from."
