CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A network of several dozen synagogues and Jewish organizations is trying to make Passover an easier celebration - especially this year - and they’ve come up with “Seder in a Box.”

WBBM’s Steve Miller reports.

The Illinois "stay at home" order has left people concerned about how to celebrate the Passover seder.

So Rabbi Meir Moscowitz, regional director of Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois, says they’ve come up with a plan.

“Chabad of Illinois created ‘Seder in a Box,’ which provides everything you need for the seder:  The seder plate, the handmade shmurah matzah, the seder dinner, the grape juice, the Haggadah that we read that evening.”

Rabbi Moscowitz says phones have been ringing non-stop.

He says they expect to provide seders in a box to hundreds of families in Illinois.

Boxes available for pickup on April 7 or 8 - and in some cases, they offer delivery. For more information, click here.
